Appointment Line sites, for Overland Associates
Overland Associates approached Exponetic when they needed a web partner for their ambitious new business venture. Putting an inventive twist on website service provision, their vision was to have a 'family' of sites each offering a direct helpline which people could call to get directly in touch with a service they require. The first group of sites focused on health care, hence the 'Appointment Line' title.
Attention to detail and effective communication underline Exponetic's experience and commitment to the highest standards in web site development
We partnered them throughout the process, advising on branding, site structure and information organisation all of which was focused on maximising the number of callers who dialled the helplines.
Branding
Working in partnership with Overland Associates and design agency Fresh01, we formed a coherent branding strategy for the project. The family of sites were to have similar elements (in particular, the 'Appointment Line' title) but were to be nonetheless distinctive.
In branding the sites we considered a number of important factors, including search engine optimisation & usability. The final naming of the sites emphasises the nature of the service and is clear to users what services are provided.
Fresh01 then produced graphical representations of the branding and site designs. We implemented these designs using the latest standards-compliant and accessible web development techniques.
Information Organisation
A key aim of the 'Appointment Line' sites was to offer a wide variety of information on the subjects in question, thereby becoming an invaluable resource for users in their search for help with their health issues. This information had to be organised into useful, clearly-named categories so that users could access it as intuitively as possible.
We conducted a thorough information architecture process, providing our client and design partners with detailed site trees and wireframe diagrams to represent the decisions made at each stage. This process ensured all parties knew exactly what they were expected to produce and helped build up a picture of what the final sites would be like.
This attention to detail and effective communication underline Exponetic's experience and commitment to the highest standards in web site development.
Technical Standards
It was important that the sites were coded to the latest standards and structured appropriately. This combination of techniques ensured the sites are primed to perform well when 'crawled' by search engines.
Summary
The 'Appointment Line' sites represent success for both Exponetic and our partners in a number of key areas. Working with our client and industry partners, the project is an example of our commitment to excellence in communication, design, technology and delivery.
Client Feedback
"We challenged Exponetic to deliver 5 content-rich web sites in 5 weeks - and they did a great job. The team working on the project understood our objectives and used their own judgment to help improve quality and speed-up the development process. And throughout, the team were pleasant, friendly and good-humoured. The feedback from practitioner and patients on the look and feel of the sites has been terrific."
