Director - Karl Bunyan

My role at Exponetic is: convincing potential clients that we know what we're doing. My technical skills cover the main web and interactive media programming languages including (X)HTML, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, ASP, ASP.Net, PHP, SQL, MySQL, XML, XSL Flash and Director.

What that means is that: I'm usually the one people come to when they get stuck... I like to have a go at the hard problems.

Previously I: was an architect (no, really!) until I found that designing web sites was more challenging. Then I was a senior developer at Oyster Partners and led a department at DNA Consulting. Previous clients include: V&A Museum, Orange, MFI, Comet, DWP and the NHS.

I see the most important thing about what I do as: solving problems whatever the technology and making clients and the team feel that everything's under control.

My greatest challenge at work is: multitasking: working on my own but able to switch to something else. Oh… and being better at playing Flash games than anyone else.

Most of my leisure time is spent: on computers, of course… all in the name of 'research'. I enjoy watching low-brow films or TV and riding fast motorbikes, but not at the same time.

In ten years time, I: hope to still be looking for new things to do, and can look back and not think I've wasted the past ten years.

I'd also like to say that: if no-one expected shirts to be ironed then we'd all have time for more important things. I consider myself a pioneer of this philosophy.
